Shatabdi Chakrabarti
Shatabdi Chakrabarti is a freelance media professional based in India. She focuses on stories of wildlife, conservation, and communities. She has been a contributing photojournalist at We Animals for over three years, documenting stories covering topics such as wet markets, shrimp farming, and intensive hen and chicken farming. She also provides mentorship as part of our capacity-building work. As a filmmaker, photographer and writer, Shatabdi's work has been published and exhibited in both national and international platforms and events. She is a member of Her Wild Vision Initiative and has produced films, photo essays and articles for Vice, Mongabay, WWF-India, Round Glass Sustain and Nature in Focus, among others.
